Tom Vleminckx joined Motive Partners in 2017 and is a consultant Technology Partner on the Motive Create Team based out of Belgium. At Motive, Tom is responsible for the mapping of innovation initiatives and state of the art technology solutions, overseeing the delivery of prototypes and MVPs for Motive Labs members, and assisting in the creation and execution of value creation plans for Motive’s portfolio companies. Tom brings a deep technical expertise in open banking, high volume - low latency payment systems, and data analytics. He combines his technical knowledge with an entrepreneurial spirit to design innovative financial products and services.

Prior to joining Motive, Tom served as a solution architect at Clear2Pay and after its acquisition by FIS in 2015, he was appointed as lead software architect, research and development. During his tenure at FIS, Tom modernised the existing payment hub product offering and delivered on the architecting of the open API strategy. Previously, Tom led development teams architecting the next generation of products and established the agile development factory at Isabel Group, the leading provider of multi-banking services for professional users and SMEs in Belgium. Tom began his career as an independent consultant to a broad range of companies.

Tom holds a MSc. in Computer Science at University of Antwerp and is also a Certified Enterprise Architect from the Carnegie Mellon University.
