Matthew McKenna joined Motive Partners in 2026 and is a Director in the Business Transformation team.

Matthew has spent his career building technology for alternative asset managers, with deep experience across private equity, private credit, and direct lending. Prior to joining Motive, he was Head of Software at Equipped AI, a technology company spun out of AnaCap Financial Partners. At Equipped AI, Matthew led the engineering function and productized an AI-powered platform for loan administration and portfolio operations that was adopted by institutional clients.He spent nine years at AnaCap as Business Intelligence Manager, designing and building the front-to-middle-office platform that Equipped AI was later established to commercialize.

Matthew began his career at ESAB, a global manufacturing company, in analytical and strategy roles. He holds an M.A. in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
