Jennifer Nason joined Motive Partners in 2026 and is an Industry Partner.

At Motive, Jennifer draws on more than four decades of global financial services experience to support strategic growth, enterprise transformation, governance, and value creation initiatives across the Motive Partners ecosystem. She works closely with the firm’s investment and portfolio company leadership teams, leveraging her deep expertise in corporate finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder engagement, and board advisory matters. Jennifer also brings significant insight into the evolving role of technology and AI in financial services, helping institutions navigate transformation at scale.

Jennifer is one of Wall Street’s most experienced advisors and dealmakers, having spent nearly 40 years at J.P. Morgan, where she most recently served as Global Chair of Investment Banking. In that role, she was responsible for many of the firm’s most important global investment banking relationships, serving as senior executive relationship partner to CEOs and boards of leading corporations across the technology, media, telecommunications, and broader financial services sectors. Throughout her career, Jennifer advised companies on growth strategy, financing, M&A, shareholder activism, and complex enterprise transformation initiatives.

During her tenure at J.P. Morgan, Jennifer also established the firm’s first IT Business Development Group, a partnership between Technology Banking and the company’s internal technology organization designed to strengthen strategic engagement across the technology ecosystem. In this capacity, she worked closely with the firm’s CIO and business leadership teams on technology partnerships, innovation initiatives, and AI-related opportunities.

Following her retirement from J.P. Morgan in 2025, Jennifer became an independent corporate advisor and board director. In addition to her work at Motive, she currently serves on the boards of Accenture, Rio Tinto, Dodge & Cox, and goop Kitchen. Across her board roles, she has served on Audit, Compensation, Sustainability, Nominations and Governance, and Investment/Transaction committees, bringing extensive governance and enterprise leadership experience across both public and private markets.

Jennifer has also held a number of leadership and advisory roles outside of corporate finance. She currently serves as U.S. Chair of the Great Barrier Reef Foundation. She previously served as Chair of the American Australian Association, where she was the first woman and first Australian elected to the role, and she remains Co-Chair of the organization’s Business Council. She was also one of four international panelists appointed to Australia’s 2015 Financial System Inquiry, which examined the long-term evolution of the country’s financial system and economic competitiveness.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce with Honors in Economics from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
