NEW YORK – July 22, 2026 – Motive Partners, a specialist private investment firm focused on financial technology and technology-enabled business services, today announced that Jennifer Nason has joined the firm as an Industry Partner.
Nason is one of the most experienced executives in global finance, bringing more than four decades of experience advising leading corporations, boards, and governments on corporate finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic transformation. Her appointment further strengthens Motive’s differentiated Investor-Operator-Innovator (“IOI”) model and reinforces the firm’s growing reputation as a magnet for senior operational leaders shaping the future of financial services.
As an Industry Partner, Nason will work closely with Motive’s investment and portfolio company leadership teams, advising on growth strategy, corporate development, capital markets, governance, and enterprise transformation initiatives across the firm’s global portfolio and ecosystem.
Nason joins Motive following a distinguished career at J.P. Morgan, where she spent nearly 40 years and most recently served as Global Chair of Investment Banking. In that role, she oversaw many of the firm’s most significant global client relationships and advised CEOs and boards of some of the world’s leading corporations across the technology, media, telecommunications, and broader financial services sectors. She also founded J.P. Morgan’s first IT Business Development Group, partnering closely with the firm’s technology leadership to help shape strategic technology and AI initiatives and deepen relationships across the innovation ecosystem.
“Jennifer is one of the most respected strategic advisors and relationship builders in global finance,” said Rob Heyvaert, Founder and Managing Partner of Motive Partners. “She has operated at the highest levels of Wall Street for decades, advising many of the world’s most influential companies through periods of transformation, growth, disruption, and complexity. Her appointment is another strong signal of Motive’s ability to attract exceptional talent and further reflects the differentiated platform we have built at the intersection of financial services, technology, and operational transformation.”
Heyvaert continued: “The caliber of leaders joining Motive is not accidental – it reflects the scale of opportunity we see ahead and the unique model we’ve created to capture it. Financial services is being fundamentally reshaped by AI, data, and modern infrastructure, and the firms best positioned to create value will be those that combine deep domain expertise with operational execution. Jennifer’s experience, global network, and strategic insight will be tremendously valuable to our portfolio companies, management teams, and investors as we continue to accelerate growth and long-term value creation across the ecosystem.”
Following her retirement from J.P. Morgan, Nason became an independent corporate advisor and board director. She currently serves on the boards of Accenture, Rio Tinto, Dodge & Cox, and goop Kitchen, and has extensive governance experience across audit, compensation, sustainability, nominations and governance, and investment committees.
Throughout her career, Nason has advised companies navigating large-scale strategic transactions, shareholder activism, operational change, and evolving market dynamics. She is widely recognized for her ability to build trusted relationships with CEOs and boards globally and for helping organizations align long-term strategy with execution and shareholder value creation.
“Motive has built a highly differentiated platform at a defining moment for the financial services industry,” said Jennifer Nason. “Technology, AI, and data are rapidly transforming how institutions operate, compete, and create value. What distinguishes Motive is the combination of deep sector specialization, operational expertise, and strategic connectivity across the global financial ecosystem. I’m excited to work alongside Rob and the team at Motive, as well as with our portfolio companies, to help accelerate innovation, growth, and long-term impact.”
Nason’s appointment further expands Motive’s Industry Partner network, which includes many of the most accomplished executives and operators across financial services, technology, and global enterprise leadership. The continued expansion of this network reflects Motive’s belief that transformational value creation increasingly depends on combining capital with deep operational expertise, strategic relationships, and domain specialization.
Motive Partners continues to distinguish itself through its exclusive focus on financial technology and tech-enabled business services, applying its integrated IOI model to help companies scale, modernize, and lead in an increasingly AI-driven financial ecosystem.
