Andrea Smelser joined Motive Partners in 2024 and is a Principal on the Fund Finance team based out of the New York office.

Prior to joining Motive, Andrea was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs within Asset Management. At Goldman, Andrea focused on the Finance and Operations functions across several alternative investment products including buyout equity, growth equity, infrastructure, sustainability and impact and hybrid capital strategies. Her experience includes the day-to-day management of funds and co-invest vehicles in addition to investor reporting.

Andrea began her career in the Assurance practice at PwC where she performed audits and quarterly reviews of hedge fund, private equity and fund of funds clients. 

Andrea earned her B.S. in Business Management from Boston College, with concentrations in Accounting and Finance. Andrea is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
