Alvi Abuaf joined Motive Partners in 2016 and is an Industry Partner. At Motive, Alvi focuses on the Wealth and Asset Management Technology sector. He sources and executes investment opportunities with a focus on strategy and growth for Motive portfolio companies. He has extensive experience in wealth and investment management, consumer and commercial banking, capital markets and real estate sectors. Prior to the acquisition of InvestCloud, Alvi led the acquisition of Tegra118 from Fiserv and served as a Member of the Board of Directors. Alvi has been the Industry Partner on several Motive investments including Investcloud, Advicent, RetireUp, BetaNXT, Mediant, CAIS, TIFIN AMP and FNZ. Alvi currently serves on the Board of TIFIN AMP.
Prior to joining Motive Partners, Alvi was responsible for the Financial Services Consulting Practice at Capgemini NA. He also served as the CEO of Capco North America, a global management consultancy focused on the financial services industry. During his tenure, Alvi led numerous strategic projects with leading investment banks, brokerages, fund companies, asset managers and other financial institutions across key global centers.
Previously, Alvi served as Managing Director of Global Strategy and Program Management at Citi, President and CEO of CPM Braxis USA and Managing Partner at Ernst & Young/Capgemini leading the Financial Services Industry Practice. He was also the founder of the E&Y FinTech Incubator.
Alvi earned a B.S. in Engineering from University of Buffalo and a M.S. from Columbia University in New York. He has also completed certificate programs at Harvard Business School in Strategy and MIT in Artificial Intelligence.
