Sam Nayden is an investment professional with over fifteen years of investing experience in financial services with a focus on financial technology. During his time with Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch Sam led and co-led a number of successful investments.
Sam Nayden was most recently an Executive Director with Morgan Stanley’s Principal Strategic Investment Group, focused on sourcing and executing growth equity investment opportunities. He represented Morgan Stanley in a multi-bank consortium to launch Visible Alpha and led and co-led successful investments in financial technology and global compliance.
Prior to Morgan Stanley, Sam spent nine years with Merrill Lynch (Bank of America post the merger) working on acquisitions and investments on behalf of Merrill’s Institutional businesses. He was involved with Merrill’s acquisition of Entergy Koch — an energy trading business and acquisition and restructuring of ABM Amro Clearing and Execution business and Pax Clearing. He also led several successful minority investments. Sam started his career at Lehman Brothers Mergers & Acquisitions Group.
Sam earned a B.S. in Finance and Accounting, from Leonard Stern School of Business of New York University and an executive MBA from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania.
